Overview

An online frequency-specific audio generator that can produce audio signals at a specific frequency, such as generating a 1 kHz tone, for scenarios like testing headphones or hearing.

The range of sound frequencies a normal human ear can hear is 20–20,000 Hz, but the audible range varies from person to person and situation to situation. Most adults can hear frequencies from 30–16,000 Hz. Temporary hearing impairment can also occur due to external stimulation or excessive mental stress, and it generally recovers on its own. As people age, their organs decline, and so does their hearing: older adults can typically hear a range of 50–10,000 Hz, and in most cases hearing loss caused by aging is irreversible.

In addition, the frequency range of the human voice is 200–4,000 Hz. If hearing declines due to noise in one's living or working environment, ear trauma, ear disease, genetic factors, and so on, and becomes insensitive to sounds in the 200–4,000 Hz range, everyday communication will be affected. We recommend that affected individuals visit a hospital for a hearing test, so a professional doctor can determine whether there is mild, moderate, severe, or even profound hearing impairment.

As we age, hearing typically declines, especially in the high-frequency range. Most people can hear higher frequencies when they are young, but as they get older, their hearing in the high-frequency range gradually weakens.
