Tool Guide
Introduction
The Online License Plate Number Random Generator batch-generates random license plate numbers from across China, mainly used for data testing in development.
The license plate rules are as follows:
The license plate format is: provincial administrative region + prefecture-level administrative region letter code + a 5-character combination of letters and numbers, where the letter-number combination can contain at most 2 letters, and the letters exclude O and I.
The first character of the license plate is a Chinese character: representing the provincial administrative region where the vehicle is registered, being the abbreviation of each province, municipality, or autonomous region—for example, Beijing is 京 and Guangxi is 桂.
The second character of the license plate is an English letter: representing the letter code of the prefecture-level administrative region where the vehicle is registered, ranked by the provincial vehicle management office according to the status of each prefecture-level region. The letter "A" is the code for the provincial capital, autonomous-region capital, or central urban district of a municipality, with subsequent letters ranked in no particular order.
In the following 5-character combination of numbers and letters, to distinguish them from the numbers 0 and 1, the letters O and I cannot be used—meaning a license plate can use a total of 24 letters plus the 10 digits 0–9.
Up to 1000 license plates can be generated at a time, randomly selected and generated from 387 license plate regions across China. You can specify a region, such as 云A, and it will generate license plates for the specified region. All license plates generated in a single run are unique.
Note: The license plates generated by this tool are completely random and intended only for development and testing purposes. Please do not use them for any other illegal purposes.
