How to Use the Online Chinese Character Stroke Counter
Step 1: Enter or paste the text you want to look up into the text box.
Step 2: Click the "Count Strokes" button.
Step 3: View what the tool displays: the stroke count of each Chinese character; the total stroke count of all characters; and a list of unrecognized or uncollected characters (if any).

Does it support counting multiple characters?
Yes. Whether it's a single character, a phrase, or an entire block of text, it can all be counted.
Will it count punctuation marks or English letters?
No. The tool only counts collected Chinese characters and automatically filters out invalid characters such as punctuation, numbers, and English letters.
What is the source of the stroke data? Is it accurate?
The data comes from a standard stroke-count library for common modern Chinese characters. The counts are accurate and can meet educational and general application needs.
Does it support traditional Chinese characters?
It supports stroke counting for common traditional characters. Some very uncommon characters that are not collected will be skipped and not displayed.
