Tool Introduction

The Online Hearing Frequency Range Test Tool can be used to test your ears' hearing frequency range. Usually, the human ear can hear sounds of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz.

The frequency range of sounds a normal human ear can hear is 20-20000 Hz, but due to differences among people and situations, the audible sound frequency varies. Most adults can hear sound frequencies of 30-16000 Hz. There are also short-term hearing impairments caused by external stimulation, excessive mental stress, and other factors, which generally recover on their own. As for the elderly, due to aging, their various organs show a trend of decline, and so does their hearing, with an audible sound range of 50-10000 Hz. Usually, hearing problems caused by aging are irreversible.

How to Test

After setting the start frequency, end frequency, and frequency step value, click Start Test, and the tool will emit sounds from the start frequency to the end frequency while displaying the current sound frequency value. You can combine this with your own listening to infer your hearing frequency range.

Whether you can hear a sound depends not only on your ears but also on your device (if the device can't emit the sound at all, how can you hear it?), so we recommend using a better device for testing to ensure the sound-producing device works properly.

Please adjust the device volume to avoid being startled by too loud a sound, and do not set the duration too short, otherwise the rapid speaker switching may cause a rat-a-tat noise. The rat-a-tat sound heard during testing is noise.

As the sound frequency rises, you may not be able to hear the sound; please do not turn up the volume to avoid damaging your ears with loud sound.
