Tool Guide
About the Online Text Comparison Tool
The online text comparison tool helps you quickly find the differences between two pieces of text. Whether it's document updates, web content changes, code version differences, or comparing revisions of contracts and papers, the tool clearly shows the differences for easy proofreading and analysis.
This tool supports two ways of displaying text differences:
Side-by-side comparison: displays the changes between Text 1 and Text 2 in two columns, intuitive and clear.
Inline comparison: marks modified, deleted, or added parts directly within the same line, ideal for word-by-word checking.
It also offers one-click clear and example display, suitable for editors, programmers, proofreaders, content operators, and other user groups.
How to Use the Online Comparison Tool
Step 1: Paste the content of "Text 1" into the left input box — it can be an old version, the original content, or the baseline text.
Step 2: Enter "Text 2" in the right input box, i.e. the new version or the revised content.
Step 3: Click the "Side-by-Side Comparison" or "Inline Comparison" button to quickly view the differences between the two texts.
Step 4: To start over, click the "Clear" button to remove all content.
Tip: Click "View Example" to quickly see the comparison effect without entering any content.
