The online QR code decoder can recognize and decode the text content contained in a QR code image, with support for quick recognition by pasting screenshots.

Online QR code recognition—also called online QR code scanning or online QR code parsing—refers to decoding an image QR code and reading it back into text content.

When you want to know what content is stored in a QR code, you can use this tool to quickly recognize and decode the QR code's text content.

How to Use the Online QR Code Recognizer

Step 1: Open the QR code recognition page, where you'll see an upload area and a "CTRL+V paste to recognize" prompt.

Step 2: Import the QR code image in any way you prefer: after taking a screenshot of the QR code, press Ctrl+V to paste and recognize it directly; drag the QR code image into the area to recognize it automatically; or click the upload button and select an image file to recognize.

Step 3: View the decoding result. After the QR code is parsed, the text, link, or other content is displayed automatically and can be copied for use.

Step 4: Click the "Copy Recognition Result" button to copy the QR code text; if you need to recognize again, click "Clear."

Note: The image to be recognized can contain only one QR code image. If it contains multiple QR codes, recognition may fail, so please recognize only one QR code at a time.

This tool uses pure JS to recognize and decode QR codes and may not support older browsers. If it does not work, please switch to the latest version of your browser.

What Is a QR Code?

A QR code (Quick Response Code), also called a 2D barcode, is a very popular encoding method on mobile devices in recent years. The most common 2D code is the QR Code, where QR stands for Quick Response.

It is an efficient data encoding method. Compared with traditional barcodes, QR codes can store more data such as text, URLs, contact information, and WiFi configurations, and are widely used in fields like mobile payments, advertising and marketing, product traceability, and identity authentication.

Why does QR code recognition fail?

Possible reasons include: the QR code is blurry or damaged—please try a clearer image; the image contains multiple QR codes—please make sure to recognize only one at a time.

Your browser version is too old—we recommend using the latest version of a modern browser such as Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.

Which recognition methods are supported?

The online QR code parser supports paste recognition (Ctrl+V after taking a screenshot), drag-and-drop recognition, and file upload recognition, covering almost all use cases.

Does it support decoding encrypted QR codes?

This tool only supports parsing ordinary QR codes. Encrypted QR codes (such as some payment codes) may not be directly decodable.

Does the tool save QR code data?

No. All parsing is done locally, and user data is never uploaded or stored, ensuring privacy and security.
