Tool Guide

About the Online QR Code Extractor

The online QR code extractor (QR code cutout tool) can extract and separate a QR code from an image that contains one, saving it as a standalone QR code image.

The tool automatically locates and recognizes the position of the QR code and extracts it. The size of the extracted QR code matches the size of the QR code in your image—a larger source image yields a clearer extracted QR code—and the extracted QR code has no white space (white borders).

How to Extract a QR Code from an Image

Step 1: Import the QR code image in any way: after taking a screenshot of the QR code, paste it directly with Ctrl+V to recognize; drag the QR code image into the upload area; or click the upload button and select a local image to recognize.

Step 2: The system automatically recognizes the QR code content and crops out the QR code region, generating a previewable QR code image.

Step 3: Click the QR code to download the high-definition QR code image; if you need to recognize again, click "Clear."

Note: This tool can only recognize images containing a single QR code. If an image contains multiple QR codes, recognition will fail, so please crop out one before recognizing and extracting.

After recognition and extraction, click the button or the preview image to download the QR code with one click. If the download does not start automatically, please download it manually—right-click and Save As on a computer, or long-press to save on a phone.

QR Code Extraction FAQ

Why automatically crop the QR code?

Many QR codes are small and set against cluttered backgrounds in screenshots, so scanning the original image fails. The tool automatically locates the QR code region and crops it into a clean image, making it easier to scan or save.

Which screenshots does paste recognition support?

It supports both computer and phone screenshots—as long as the screenshot contains a QR code, you can paste it to recognize directly.

What if recognition fails?

Please make sure the image contains only one QR code and that the QR code is clear and unobstructed. If the screenshot resolution is too low or the QR code is missing corners, it will also affect recognition.

What format is the downloaded QR code?

The tool generates the automatically cropped QR code as a clear image in JPG format, which is highly compatible and easier to save and share.
